BIMStorm™ Connects the World
In a world where we must make decisions that impact our environment,
the only way to connect the dots is through collaboration. This
requires a different way of thinking and process. BIMStorms™
are part
of the answer to this challenge. They allow global teams to collaborate
in real time.
BIMStorm™ Live at the AECST Conference in Washington DC.
- Several thousand people
regardless of technical expertise have
participated in BIMStorms and created 4,000 buildings totaling 485
million square feet.
- Live demonstration of BIM
using Low Carbon Collaboration techniques featuring speaker Kimon
Onuma, FAIA, Principal, Onuma, Inc.
- Live from the show floor
with the BIMStorm Teams. Results of the Alexandria and Capitals
Alliance BIMStorms.
- Some of the tools that are
used in a BIMStorm include:
Archicad, Excel, Elite Cad, ESRI, Google Earth, Google Maps, Google
SketchUp, Onuma Planning System, Revit, Solibri, Trelligence Affinity,
VectorWorks, Paper and Pencil and other tools

Teams
Teams can choose a site for
Alexandria and Tswhane. After all the
sites have been assigned, teams can also pick the same site that
another team is already working on or define a new site. Make your
selection and announce it on the Forum.
- Each team has a specialty.
Some teams are seeking "Subject Matter Experts" SME in different areas.
- All teams that are part of
the Alexandria FFZ BIMStorm™ will receive input from SME-T (
see below for acronyms )
- Posting your projects and
making them accessible to other analysts will allow them to give
feedback to your project.
